Project #2 Reflection

  In the course, we read the two article that is talking about fraud. The Frank Abagnale story tells how he trick people to get what he wants by changing his social status. Another story, Michelle Brown facing the problem of identity theft. Under the stress, Michelle became weary and paranoid, I’m so worry about her conditions, hoping she will get better. After all, I think we can all learn how to face the problem and knowing how to deal with it when it happens.

  For project #2, I wrote a story about my friend, Kan’s fraud experience. Kan met Frank in Tinder, a social media app. They started a long-distance relationship between countries in a short time, but they haven’t met each other yet. In some moment, Frank wants Kan to buy a watch together and he will get angry if he hasn’t bought it. Since the odd behavior that Frank dose and how he won’t give any personal information, Kan started to be suspicious. In the end of the story, Frank was being founded out that he was coming for money. Luckily, Kan haven’t pay anything before he finds out, then he realizes the dangerous of making friend on internet. The newest trick is those people will convince other to buy something, and then says they already send to baggage to the place they live. As soon as you receive the baggage and pay for that, you will find out it was only trash in the box. The money will transfer to their bank account, then the friend you made in the internet will gone with the money. People need to be aware of the safety on believe others on the internet. Understanding to never give money for things or people that you aren’t familiar.

  In the student-teacher conference, I received the draft that I wrote down before. I’m so glad that teacher wants the digital file of my work which means my writing skills have improved. Hopping I can do better at next project.
